Holmesglen Institute is one of the largest TAFE institutes in Australia. It is a modern, dynamic tertiary institution with an established international focus. Holmesglen was the first educational institution in Australia to achieve ISO9001 accreditation - a demonstration of our total commitment to quality and academic excellence. Our facilities and staff are world class, and academic and welfare support is central to our educational philosophy.
The Holmesglen Language Centre is at the forefront of educational excellence and offers nationally and internationally accredited curricula for all its courses. The Institute has a highly qualified teaching staff, modern facilities and an up-to-date, communicative approach to English teaching. Situated in the Melbourne suburbs of Chadstone, Moorabbin and Glen Waverley, Holmesglen's campuses are located 20-30 minutes from the central business district of Melbourne close to public transport, shopping centres, sporting facilities, restaurants and entertainment complexes.
Holmesglen pioneered University Transfer Programs. Our links with Australia's leading universities (Monash, Deakin, Swinburne, La Trobe and Charles Sturt) allow international students to commence degree studies at the Institute - and complete a degree within three to four years. As Holmesglen strengthens its position as a vocational education provider we have introduced degrees in business and building. This will have great appeal to those who seek to add value to their original university degree or enhance their vocational qualifications.
Students may add to their learning experiences when they get involved in the various community based programs offered at Holmesglen. Each year a full program of trips and activities is offered to students, including Central Australia trips, skiing and swimming with the dolphins. Holmesglen is developing a rural learning centre at a property near Eildon, in central Victoria, to provide camping and recreational facilities for students. This facility will provide a range of programs that will allow students to develop and enhance their leadership and teamwork skills.
