Why did you choose to study in Australia?
I did because I like sports in Australia and I love outdoor activities such as BBQ and fishing.
Why did you choose to study at Griffith University?
Because I love to study environment science. I chose Griffith University.
What benefits are you hoping to receive from your undertaking EAP PLUS at Griffith University?
I wanted to improve my writing quality, reading strategies and pronunciation.
Do you like GUELI as a place to study? Why?
I did because GUELI is on campus so I felt like I was studying at University. And I liked the teachers too!!
What are your teachers and classes like at GUELI ?
Teachers are helpful and friendly. I had chances to make friends in class. Classes are friendly.
Have you been involved in social activities and/or made friends at Griffith University (please explain)?
I involved in the soccer competition on Nathan Campus. I made some Australian friends and international friends. We also go to watch soccer games in Brisbane.
What do you enjoy the most about living in Australia ?
I'm enjoying going to go fishing and camping. I also enjoy watching sports on TV and going to stadium to watch games. Moreover, I enjoy BBQ.
What advice do you have for other students coming to study in Australia?
Enjoy Australian style of life. It's the easiest way to make a lot of friends and you will love to do it! |

| グリフィス大学はブリスベンやゴールドコーストの地域に5つのキャンパスを持ち、3万5千人の学生が学ぶ大きな大学です。 ブリスベン市内からゴールドコースト方向へ車で15分ほどのところにグリフィス大学の２つのキャンパスがあります。このフリーウェイを境に右側にはNathanキャンパスが、Mt. Gravattキャンパス、まるで大きな公園に迷い込んだような広大なキャンパスでした。緑豊かなキャンパスの理由はナショナルパークの一部だからだそうで、このため森の中に点在するそれぞれの校舎は高さが制限されているそうです。なるほど、公園らしい雰囲気が納得できました。 |

付属英語学校は２つのキャンパスに分かれ、Nathanキャンパスはアカデミック英語、Mt.Gravattは一般英語の学生が学んでいます。広大なNathanキャンパスにある付属英語学校の校舎を訪問しました。木立に囲まれた真新しいビルです。付属英語学校の学生数は300名から多いときで500名くらいになるそうです。現在日本人は8％と少なく、日本人学生に是非来て欲しいそうです。
グリフィス大学付属英語学校の特徴の一つに大学本科コースへのダイレクトエントリーコースEAP Plusがあります。オーストラリアの多くの大学がIELTSテストやTOEFLテストのスコアを基準として入学審査を行いますが、このEAP Plusコースはコース終了した場合にIELTSテストやTOEFLテストを受けることなく、直接グリフィス大学へ進学できるというものです。グリフィス大学は特に看護学、ホスピタリティー・ツーリズム、環境学、教育、ビジネス（アジア経済）などの分野が優れています。
グリフィス大学付属英語学校はこのブリスベンキャンパスに加え、ゴールドコーストキャンパスもありますので、目的や好みに合わせて選択されると良いでしょう。 （KT) |
